In “Herogasm,” the latest episode of The Boys Season 3, a major hero gets taken out following the events of the Prime Video series’ titular party.
WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for The Boys Season 3, Episode 6, “Herogasm,” which released Friday on Prime Video.
Reggie Franklin/A-Train goes down from a heart attack at the end of “Herogasm,” the latest episode of The Boys Season 3.
In “The Last Time to Look on This World of Lies,” A-Train got Blue Hawk to agree to apologize for his brutal targeting of Black people in Trenton. However, Blue Hawk soon flew off the handle after being called out for his actions and injured a number of people, including the speedster’s brother, Nathan. At the end of the episode, A-Train learned his brother was unlikely to walk again.
“Herogasm” sees Vought International unwilling to call Blue Hawk out for his bad behavior, and Ashley Barrett — the company’s new CEO — calls out A-Train for his terrible actions. This leads to A-Train going to Herogasm, where Blue Hawk is in attendance. After Soldier Boy attacks the TNT Twins and kills or injures a number of people, A-Train uses the confusion to confront Blue Hawk and drag him to death using his super speed. However, A-Train collapses from the exertion. It’s not clear at the end of “Herogasm” if A-Train is dead or alive.
Based on the comic of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys was created for Prime Video by Eric Kripke. The show follows the titular team, who work against Vought International and the Seven, the company’s premier group of superheroes and a satirical take on such teams as DC’s Justice League. “Herogasm” loosely adapts the spinoff of the same name, which was by Ennis, John McCrea and Keith Burns.
The Boys has proven a massive success for Prime Video, and all three seasons of the show have received critical acclaim. Earlier this month, the streaming service officially greenlit the series for a fourth season. There’s currently a spinoff in the works based on the G-Men, who are the universe’s version of Marvel’s X-Men. Additionally, an animated series with some canon content, The Boys Presents: Diabolical, debuted earlier this year.
New episodes of The Boys Season 3 release Fridays on Prime Video. The next episode of the series, “Here Comes a Candle to Light You to Bed,” releases July 1.
