This animated version of the Justice League debuted in the first League of Super-Pets trailer which was released by Warner Bros. in November 2021. “It’s a lot of fun,” producer Hiram Garcia said of the animated film in August 2021. “As a Superman fan and a huge dog lover, having the ability to tell the story of Krypto and Superman is a dream come true! It’s such a charming story, and then in addition we get to introduce the League of Super-Pets and all those wonderful characters. We have such an amazing cast of actors, and anytime you can get Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart together doing what they do, you know it’s going to be a big, fun ride for audiences.”

Four-Legged Justice League

Loosely based on the Legion of Super-Pets, introduced in Adventure Comics #293 by Jerry Siegel, Curt Swan and George Klein in 1962, DC League of Super-Pets stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the voice of Krypto the Superdog, Superman’s canine sidekick. The film will follow Krypto and Batman’s canine companion, Ace the Bat-Hound (voiced by Kevin Hart) as they form their own superhero team of shelter pets after the Justice League is taken captive by Maron’s Lex Luthor.
