Disney+ has released a new teaser trailer for Percy Jackson and the Olympians, revealing that the show will launch with a two-episode premiere on Dec. 20.
The teaser trailer also reveals a ton of new footage from the hotly-anticipated Disney+ series, including fresh looks at the main trio — Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell), Annabeth Chase (Leah Jeffries) and Grover (Aryan Simhadri). Percy Jackson Season 1 will adapt author Rick Riordan’s 2005 children’s novel, The Lightning Thief, the first entry in his Camp Half-Blood Chronicles series.
Similar to the novel, Season 1 will follow 12-year-old demigod Percy Jackson as he embarks on a cross-country quest with his friends Annabeth Chase and Grover to track down the lost lightning bolt of Zeus — played by the late Lance Reddick — and restore order to Mount Olympus.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians premieres on Disney+ on Dec. 20.
